Wild boar (Sus scrofa)
In our country the wild boars can be hunted between 1st August and– 15th February, except some individuals which are killed at summer for reducing the damage caused in the agricultural fields.
The high-seat hunts:
We have several high-seats, cabins where the wild hogs are baited and come to feed on corn. That is the greatest opportunity to kill a big boar, which can grow quite often 20- 23 cm long tusks, even in exceptional situations 28- 29 cm long „sickles”. In summer they are solitary, but in the autumn and winter period they join the herds for reproduction.
This hunting method can be applied all season long, because the hogs consume this complementary food with pleasure at any time.
Stalking:
At winter in the snowy mountain woods, during the breeding season (dressed in white)this hunting manner offers real, authentic experiences for the hunters. Good condition and hunting experience are basic requirements for stalking wild hogs at their hiding places.
Driving Hunt:
This is a special hunting experience, with a unique opportunity to shoot many species of wild game at a beautiful autumn or winter landscape.
